Botox, Dysport, Daxxify

  • Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify are neuromodulator toxins, which are  medications used for cosmetic and medical purposes, primarily to reduce wrinkles and fine lines on the face. They all contain a type of botulinum toxin, but they are produced by different pharmaceutical companies and may have slight variations in their formulations and properties.

Botox: Botox is a brand name for a specific botulinum toxin type A product manufactured by Allergan. It was one of the first botulinum toxin-based treatments approved by the FDA for cosmetic use. Botox works by temporarily paralyzing or relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles and lines, such as frown lines between the eyebrows and crow's feet around the eyes. It can also be used for medical purposes, such as treating muscle spasms, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and some neurological conditions.

Dysport: Dysport is another botulinum toxin type A product, similar to Botox. It is manufactured by a different pharmaceutical company, Ipsen. Dysport is used for similar cosmetic purposes as Botox, and it also temporarily reduces muscle activity to smooth out wrinkles and lines. Some people may prefer Dysport because they believe it spreads more evenly and works faster than Botox, but individual experiences can vary.

Daxxify: Is another botulinum toxin type A product manufactured by Revance Therapeutics, Inc. It contains a unique protein Botox and Dysport do not. This protein allows Daxxify to stick to the nerve cells near the site of injection for a longer period of time.In regards to safety, time to on-set, and efficacy, there is minimal difference between these treatments. Dysport® has an onset of about 2-3 days and peaks by 7 days. Botox®, a slightly larger molecule, has an onset of about 3-4 days and peaks between 7 – 14 days, and Daxxify has an onset of about 2-3 days and peaks between 5-7 days. Some people claim to get better results with one over the other, but in our experience, there is very little significant difference. Some people can build up immunity to one product. In this case, we recommend trying the alternative product. When comparing price per unit of the different neuromodulators it is important to note that the units are not equivalent. You will need 2-3 times as many units of Dysport® and Daxxify for an equivalent effect as with Botox®. Botox and Dysport last approximately 3-4 months and Daxxify 5-6 months; with the recommended dosage from your provider. With new clients, we recommend a follow up visit at approximately 2 weeks to assess the results and assure optimal results.

  • The neuromodulators  are injected into a targeted facial expression muscle, blocking impulses from the nerve to the muscle, thereby preventing its contraction, which in turn causes the overlying skin to become smoother, with fewer lines and wrinkles. Very small amounts are injected in precisely targeted muscles. The effects work only on the injected muscles, leaving the untreated muscles to contract in a normal fashion, allowing normal facial expression and sensation to be unaffected

  • Botox® ,Dysport® and Daxxify are prescription medications and should only be performed by a skilled provider under the direct supervision of a physician. Although serious side effects due to spread of the toxin away from the local injection site have been reported, No definitive serious adverse event reports of distant spread of toxin effect have been associated with cosmetic or dermatologic use of at the recommended doses.

Side effects are infrequent and generally mild and temporary. The most common side effects of these treatments include bruising and swelling at the injection site, headache, and flu-like symptoms. Incorrect placement of neuromodulators can affect adjacent muscles leading to eyelid drooping, asymmetry of the brows, crooked smile, and dry eye or excessive tearing. These are due to the effect of the toxin and therefore may persist until the toxin effect wears off. A recent study examined results of over 20,000 minor cosmetic procedures (including Botulinum Toxin A) and found less than 1% complication rate (performed by experienced providers) and no major complications, demonstrating the extremely low risk associated with minor cosmetic procedures when performed by an experienced provider.

  • Neuromodulators are injected directly into the muscle that underlies the dynamic wrinkle. The muscle injections are given with a very small needle so there is only minimal, brief discomfort. The entire procedure takes about 10-15 minutes. Ice can be used prior to injection to minimize any discomfort.

  • Neuromodulators are often referred to as “lunchbreak” procedures, meaning that clients usually can return to their normal activities immediately. To assure that the product doesn’t migrate before being taken up by the muscle, we recommend no strenuous exercise, no massage or manipulation, and staying upright for 3 – 4 hours after the procedure. Please see our Botulinum Toxin A Pre & Post Care Instructions prior to receiving any treatment.

Remember that individual responses to neuromodulator toxins can vary, so it's essential for individuals interested in these treatments to consult with a qualified healthcare provider to address their specific questions and concerns.

Dermal Fillers and Injectables

  • What are hyaluronic acid fillers?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler is a type of dermal filler used in cosmetic procedures to add volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body's connective tissues, skin, and joints. It plays a crucial role in maintaining moisture and elasticity in the skin.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are made from a synthetic, biocompatible form of hyaluronic acid. They come in various brands and formulations, each designed for specific purposes, such as wrinkle reduction, lip augmentation, cheek enhancement, and more. Our premier brands of hyaluronic acid fillers include the Juvederm portfolio and the Restylane portfolio.

    Is HA filler treatment painful?
Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the injection. All of the HA filler products are formulated with lidocaine for a more comfortable treatment experience. We may also choose to topically numb (anesthetize) the treatment area to further minimize discomfort.

When will I see results and how long will they last?
The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly. Duration depends on many factors, such as the individual’s skin type, lifestyle, age and the product(s) used. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 18 months depending on the individual and the treatment. A consultation is recommended to get an individualized recommendation on the right procedure for you and your goals.

What should I expect following the procedure?
Within the first 24 hours, you should minimize strenuous exercise and exposure to extensive sun or heat. Exposure to any of the above may increase temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection site. If there is swelling, you may place an ice pack over the swollen area. The most common side effects are temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, and lumps/bumps. These side effects generally last 2 to 4 weeks. Final results are typically seen at 2 weeks post treatment.

Collagen Stimulators

  • What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse is FDA-approved for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds or smile lines, corners of the mouth, pre-jowl fold, and chin wrinkles. Radiesse is made of tiny calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. The calcium microspheres are similar to minerals found naturally in the body so allergy testing is not required.

How does Radiesse® work and what makes it different from other dermal fillers?
Once injected, Radiesse plumps the skin to give the appearance of a smoother surface. Over time, Radiesse works to stimulate the body to produce collagen naturally. Ultimately the body absorbs the product and leaves behind the natural collagen for long-lasting results. Radiesse is composed of calcium-based microspheres, and has been shown to stimulate the natural production of collagen, for results that may last up to a year or more in many patients.

  • What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra Aesthetic is used to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds or smile lines, lines framing your mouth (marionette lines), and chin wrinkles. It is made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid that is absorbed naturally by the body — and has been used for years in dissolvable stitches.

How does Sculptra work and what makes it different from other dermal fillers?
Sculptra Aesthetic works within the deep dermis to help replace lost collagen. Its reinforced collagen structure provides a foundation that gradually restores the look of fullness to deep facial wrinkles and folds. This can provide a refined, more youthful looking appearance that can last more than two years.

  • What is Bellafill®?
Bellafill® is a smooth collagen-based dermal filler with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) microspheres. The collagen gel in Bellafill®provides immediate volume and lift to correct the wrinkle and/or acne scar. The PMMA microspheres remain in place and create a base that provides structural support for smoother-looking skin. The microspheres are made of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), a biocompatible material that has been used in medical implants for 65 years.

How does Bellafill work and what makes it different from other dermal fillers?
The collagen in Bellafill® provides immediate volume and lift. Over time, the collagen is reabsorbed while the PMMA microspheres remain in place and create a base that provides structural support for smoother-looking skin. Satisfaction and effectiveness for the correction of nasolabial folds have been established through 5 years. Effectiveness for the correction of acne scars has been proven through 12 months.

Laser, Light and Ultrasound Treatments

  • What is Forever Young BBL and how does it work?
Forever Young BBL from Sciton is a gentle, non-invasive procedure that uses pulsed light to give you clear, younger-looking skin, on all parts of the body! Treatments send light rays into the deepest layers of your skin to help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, invigorate your skin, and boost your body’s natural ability to fight signs of aging. First, it’s important to know that BBL is not a laser treatment. Instead, it uses intense pulsed light that we can filter several different ways to address a wide variety of skin conditions. BBL can effectively treat acne, rosacea, age spots, sun spots, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, and so much more! The device emits broad-spectrum photothermal energy. This is absorbed by the brown pigment (melanin) in the skin that causes redness. As the upper layers of skin absorb the heat and energy from the light, pigmented skin cells are destroyed and superficial blood vessels in the area are closed off. The light’s energy and heat also trigger a natural wound-healing response that will generate new cells and boost new collagen production.

How many BBL Forever Young treatments will I need?
The number of treatments you will need will vary from patient to patient and we will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Although even one treatment is beneficial, a series of treatments is usually recommended. 3-6 corrective treatments may be necessary over 3-4 week intervals. After the initial treatment series, periodic maintenance may be advised (depending upon condition(s) treated). We may also combine your treatment with other aesthetic procedures to further personalize your treatment.

How does the BBL Forever Young treatment feel?
The sensation is often described as a snapping rubber band feeling, which lasts for a fraction of a second, followed by a warm sensation for a short time afterward. Most people tolerate the treatment well without any topical anesthetic.

What will I experience after each Forever Young BBL treatment?
Some mild, temporary redness is common, but most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. Brown spots temporarily become darker before being removed by the body’s natural processes. The brown spots will flake off within 5-7 days. Makeup can be applied immediately after treatment. You should avoid direct sun exposure to the area or wear sunblock in sun-exposed treated areas for several days after the treatment.

  • What is Forever BBL Hero and how does it work?
Forever BBL Hero from Sciton is the most advanced phototherapy device on the market. BBL Hero is the next generation of light-based treatments with ground-breaking clinical evidence of changing the skin at a molecular level anywhere on the body. The light energy delivered by BBL Hero will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, vibrant, and younger-looking.In addition, the photothermal energy eliminates the fine vessels that cause redness and reduces the unwanted melanin that produces pigmented lesions. The BBL Hero machine is equipped with advanced cooling features, allowing the use of high-powered energy with minimal discomfort. BBL Hero is a safe, effective approach to younger-looking skin.Sun damage (photoaging), sun spots, age spots, hyperpigmentation, freckles, melasma, birthmarks, redness, rosacea, small blood vessels, broken capillaries, port wine stains, bruising, acne, skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles.BBL Hero is also the only treatment that is capable of functionally changing the expression of genes in aged skin cells, as proved by a study from Stanford University. This makes it powerful enough to reverse signs of aging as well as targeting skin imperfections. BBL Hero literally restores the genetic aging pattern of the skin, changing the way you age! Forever Young BBL HERO combines the power of Forever Young BBL with 4x the speed (we can treat your entire back in 10 min), 3x the peak power (more effective) and 2x the cooling, to quickly deliver results comfortably ANYWHERE on the body.

  • What is Forever Bare BBL and how does it work?
Forever Bare BBL™ from Sciton is a revolutionary technology in hair removal that uses an advanced application of Broad Band Light (BBL). Instead of applying its energy all at once (like traditional hair removal devices), Forever Bare BBL™ sends multiple lower energy pulses at a high repetition rate, resulting in extremely even heating of hair follicles, minimizing missed areas, and providing a treatment that is safe, fast, efficacious, and comfortable. Forever Bare BBL technology also uses highly efficient skin cooling (via the thermoelectrically cooled sapphire plate on the handpiece), which provides continuous surface cooling during and after treatment.Laser or light energy travels through the skin and is selectively absorbed by melanin pigment in the hair follicle and shaft. Hair follicles in the active growth phase absorb the light best. The energy damages the hair follicle, which impairs its ability to grow hair. With time, the hair in the damaged hair follicles will fall out, resulting in a smoother appearance and less hair growth. We proudly offer two advanced technologies from Sciton for all skin types.

    What is ClearScan YAG?
ClearScan YAG is the gold-standard technology for darker skin types. TAs with the Forever Bare BBL™, the ClearScan YAG™ uses a superior skin cooling system which keeps the skin cool and therefore protected, for a more safe and comfortable treatment for darker skinned individuals. The Nd:YAG laser is absorbed best by coarse hair. Therefore, permanent hair reduction in individuals with dark skin but finer hair (such as those of Southeast Asian descent) will be more challenging to treat and may not be able to achieve permanent, long-term removal of fine hairs. Many individuals in this category still prefer lasers due to the elimination of irritation and pigmentation frequently seen with shaving, waxing or threading.

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal and how many treatments will I need?
With our new Forever Bare BBL™ and ClearScan YAG™ available, laser hair removal may be used successfully for individuals of all skin and hair types. Typically 6-9 treatments are required, depending on your hair type and skin type. Spacing of the hair removal treatments every 4-6 weeks apart takes advantage of the timing of the typical hair cycle to try to maximize the number of hair follicles affected. Individual results may vary depending on the individual’s hair type, certain medications, and hormone levels. Even before the treatment series is complete, the hair usually becomes finer and most sparse, improving ingrown hair formations, irritation, or hyperpigmentation associated with shaving, waxing, or threading. Unfortunately, this treatment is not recommended for blonde or white hair.

What can I expect during and after my treatment?
Prior to each treatment avoid tanning or self-tanners, and shave the hair in that area. It is important to avoid waxing or plucking prior to your treatment because removing the hair from the follicle removes the target. Many clients come to us with concerns about discomfort associated with laser hair removal. Do not let past experiences or others’ experiences with painful laser hair removal techniques deter you from getting your desired results! Discomfort will vary with individual and area treated, but both new technologies have been extremely well tolerated by our clients.   With Forever Bare BBL, you may briefly feel a warm or “rubber band snap” sensation with each pulse as the light is absorbed by the target. With the ClearScan YAG, you will hear a rapid succession of pulsing sounds and will feel a sense of heat and slight snapping on the skin. There is no downtime, so you can reapply makeup and resume your normal daily activities immediately. Occasionally, there can be a transient redness that usually resolves within a day or two. You should avoid direct sun exposure to the area or wear sunblock in sun-exposed treated areas for several days after the treatment.

  • What is Forever Clear BBL and how does it work?
Forever Clear BBL is a cutting-edge acne treatment that uses the power of light to comfortably and effectively clear acne without creams or medicine. BBL is the world’s most powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device delivering light energy deep into skin to stimulate and regenerate your skin cells, leaving you with clear, healthy, radiant skin. While Forever Young BBL addresses a broader range of skin concerns, Forever Clear BBL targets only one: acne. It uses specific pulses of light—blue, yellow, and infrared—to eliminate acne at the root cause. Blue light is used to kill bacteria located deep in the pores, yellow light is used to treat inflammation and redness, and infrared light is used to speed up the body’s natural healing process.

How many BBL Forever Clear treatments will I need?
Most patients can begin to see improvement to their skin after only one treatment. Skin should look clearer and overall more even. For optimal results, our team may recommend you undergo at least four treatments, each performed 1-2 weeks apart. Touch-up treatments are also ideal to maintain your positive results and continue fighting acne-causing bacteria. The number of treatments and rate for undergoing follow-up sessions will vary based on the type and severity of your acne. Other treatments can be combined with Forever Clear BBL to achieve added skin improvement. If you would like to discuss your skin care needs with one of our skin care experts and receive a customized treatment plan to help you achieve beautiful, healthy skin.

  • What is Ultherapy and how does it work?
Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to deliver heat to the deep layers of skin and muscle. This heat stimulates collagen production and tightens the skin. While ultrasound energy affects deep tissue layers, it leaves the surface untouched. This remodels and rebuilds collagen and elastin, two essential skin proteins that serve to strengthen and lift the skin while improving its elasticity and firmness. As the Gold-Standard treatment for non-surgical skin tightening, results can last up to a year after treatment.

How many Ultherapy Treatments will I need?
The number of treatments you will need will vary from patient to patient and we will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. 1-3 treatments are recommended. After the initial treatment(s), periodic maintenance may be advised (depending upon condition(s) treated).

How does an Ultherapy Treatment feel?
The procedure causes a mild pinching sensation for some patients, while others experience more discomfort. Your pain management options will be discussed at your consultation.

  • What is Laser Vein Therapy and how does it work?
Laser vein therapy is the gold standard way to remove spider veins. The laser involves using a focused beam of light with a wavelength that targets the red pigment of blood. The laser heats up the small vein and destroys it, but does not damage nearby skin tissue. Over a period of 4-6 weeks, the vein is reabsorbed by the body and disappears.

How many Laser Vein Therapy Treatments will I need?
The number of treatments you will need will vary from patient to patient and we will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Although even one treatment is beneficial, a series of treatments may be recommended. 2-4 corrective treatments may be necessary over 4-6 week intervals. Vein Treatments

  • What is Asclera and what makes Asclera® Work?
Asclera® is a sclerosing agent that is injected into the vein. It works by damaging the endothelium, the cells lining the inside of blood vessels. This causes blood platelets and cellular debris to attach to the lining of the vessels; eventually, cellular debris and platelets cause the blood vessel to clot. Over time, the clotted vein will be replaced with tissue.

How long is each Asclera® session?
A typical sclerotherapy session lasts 15 to 45 minutes. One injection is usually administered per inch with multiple injections per session. Repeat sessions may be necessary. If additional treatment sessions are required they are usually repeated by 1-2 weeks.

After the initial treatment series, periodic maintenance may be advised (depending upon condition(s) treated).

  • A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure used to improve the appearance and texture of the skin on the face, neck, or hands. During a chemical peel, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which affects the top layer(s) of the skin. This process stimulates the growth of new, healthier skin cells, resulting in a smoother, more even complexion.

Chemical peels remove dead skin cells, promoting cell turnover and revealing fresher, more youthful skin. They can reduce the appearance of sun damage, age spots, and uneven skin tone, resulting in a more uniform complexion. Chemical peels can soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen production and skin tightening. They can be effective in addressing acne and reducing the visibility of acne scars. Chemical peels can help to shrink enlarged pores, making them less noticeable. They can improve the overall texture and smoothness of the skin.

Chemical peels are performed by our licensed skincare professionals and can vary in intensity, with lighter peels requiring minimal downtime and deeper peels necessitating more recovery time. It's essential to consult with a qualified professional to determine the most suitable type of chemical peel for your specific skin concerns and to ensure a safe and effective procedure.

How do chemical peels improve the skin?
Chemical peeling is a procedure that aims to accelerate skin exfoliation by the use of chemical substances resulting in renewed, healthier looking skin and more uniform complexion.

  • There are 4 different types of VI-Peels that you can choose from; VI-Peel Original, VI Peel Purify, VI-Peel Precision Plus, and VI-Peel Advanced.

The Vi Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel designed to improve the tone, texture, and clarity of the skin. It contains a blend of ingredients, including TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid), salicylic acid, retinoic acid, phenol, and vitamin C. The Vi Peel addresses various skin concerns, such as acne and acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and melasma.

Vi Peel Purify is a milder version of the Purify with Precision Plus peel, with a focus on addressing acne and breakouts. It contains a blend of ingredients to help clear the skin and prevent future acne flare-ups. Vi Peel Purify is suitable for those with acne-prone skin who want to reduce breakouts, control excess oil, and achieve a clearer complexion.

Vi Peel Precision Plus is an advanced version of the standard Vi Peel, with a higher concentration of active ingredients. This medium-depth powerhouse peel works to suppress melanogenesis—the production of melanin—at the source while promoting rapid cell turnover for more even and bright skin tone. This peel addresses Sun damage, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

The Vi Peel Advanced is potent, powerful treatment that is ideal for more mature clients that want to intensify results against deep-set wrinkles and loss of elasticity. This innovative treatment is formulated with a synergistic blend of ingredients that penetrate deeper to combat the signs of aging and soften fine lines and wrinkles. This targeted formula helps enhance collagen stimulation to increase cell turnover and help firm the skin. This peel is ideal for aging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of elasticity.

Each Vi Peel is designed to be customizable to individual skin types and concerns. The treatment typically involves a series of sessions, and post-peel skincare is essential to maximize results and minimize potential side effects. The choice of Vi Peel should be based on your specific skin needs, and one of our skincare professionals can provide guidance and recommendations tailored to your skin goals.

How is the VI Peel different from other peels?
Before VI Peel, the deeper the peel, the more painful, the more downtime, the better the results. VI Peel is painless, yet produces dramatic, visible results in just days with little downtime.

How many treatments are required to get results?
A single VI Peel will achieve significant repair and add a healthy glow to the skin. It is a true, restorative and painless repair of damaged skin including sun damage and acne. Best of all, it is a great “preventive maintenance” peel for younger skin that has no visible signs of damage.

What can I expect during and after the peel?
During the peel treatment, patients will feel a slight stinging sensation for a few seconds, which subsides completely almost immediately. The peel is applied topically numbing the skin after the first pass. Some patients feel more comfortable using a fan or cold air breeze.

The peeling associated with the VI Peel is a light, fluffy peel that will start on day three and generally be finished by the end of day four. The peeling is easily hidden with moisturizer and sometimes it is not visible at all.

  • During the initial consultation, your skin care professional will evaluate your skin condition and recommend the appropriate peel regimen based on your needs.

  • Since the new skin is more susceptible to sunburn, extra precautions should be taken to limit sun exposure for at least one week after the peel. It is imperative to use a broad spectrum sunscreen product with an SPF of 30 or higher.

  • SkinPen Microneedling, also known as microneedling therapy or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a specialized device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing processes, including collagen and elastin production, resulting in improved skin texture, tone, and firmness. Here's a good description of SkinPen Microneedling:

The treatment begins with a  topical numbing cream applied prior  to minimize discomfort during the procedure. The SkinPen device, equipped with a sterile, disposable cartridge containing fine needles, is gently moved across the skin's surface. The microneedles create controlled micro-injuries, prompting the body's natural healing response. The micro-injuries trigger the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins that contribute to skin elasticity and smoothness. This results in improved skin texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and a more youthful appearance.

During and after  microneedling, a topical serum containing growth factors or other beneficial ingredients may be applied to enhance the treatment's effects. These serums can penetrate more deeply into the skin due to the microchannels created during the procedure. It is essential to protect the treated skin from sun exposure by applying sunscreen and wearing protective clothing following the procedure.

The depth and intensity of the microneedling can be adjusted to address specific skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone. The gradual improvement in skin quality and the stimulation of collagen and elastin production contribute to natural-looking and long-lasting results. SkinPen Microneedling can be used on various areas of the face and body, including the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.

Individuals often choose SkinPen Microneedling to achieve skin rejuvenation and improvements in skin texture, tone, and firmness. The number of recommended sessions may vary depending on individual skin concerns, and maintenance treatments may be suggested to maintain the results over time. Consulting with one of our  qualified skincare specialists can help determine if SkinPen Microneedling is right for you and provide personalized treatment recommendations.

Facials

  • lThe Oxygen facial is a non-invasive and relaxing skincare treatment that delivers a boost of pure oxygen directly to the skin's surface. The procedure involves the following key steps:

This serum may contain vitamins, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and other nourishing ingredients tailored to your skin's needs.

During the oxygen infusion, the skincare professional  incorporates a gentle facial massage to enhance circulation and relaxation.

The infusion of oxygen and nutrients deeply hydrates the skin, helping to plump and rejuvenate it. • A signature facial is a customized and luxurious skincare experience designed to improve and rejuvenate the skin's health and appearance. The treatment typically includes the following key steps:

The facial begins with a consultation between the client and a licensed esthetician or skincare professional. During this consultation, the esthetician assesses the client's skin type, concerns, and goals to tailor the facial to their specific needs. The esthetician starts by thoroughly cleansing the skin to remove makeup, dirt, and impurities, preparing it for further treatments. Some signature facials may involve a skin analysis to identify any underlying issues or conditions that need attention.

Depending on the client's skin type and concerns, exfoliation methods such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or gentle scrubs may be used to remove dead skin cells and reveal a smoother complexion. If necessary, the esthetician may perform extractions to remove blackheads, whiteheads, or other minor blemishes. A relaxing facial massage is often included to stimulate blood circulation, promote relaxation, and enhance the absorption of subsequent skincare products.

A customized mask or treatment is applied to address the client's specific concerns, whether it's hydration, anti-aging, brightening, or acne control. This step helps nourish and rejuvenate the skin. Your esthetician applies serums, moisturizers, and other skincare products tailored to the client's needs, providing hydration and protection. To safeguard the freshly treated skin, a broad-spectrum sunscreen is often applied at the end of the facial.

It's advisable to consult with one of our skincare professionals  about your skin goals, discuss your skincare concerns and preferences before booking the treatment.

  • A dermaplaning facial is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the manual exfoliation of the top layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair (commonly known as "peach fuzz") from the face using a sterile surgical scalpel or blade. Dermaplaning provides a thorough exfoliation of the skin, promoting a smoother and more radiant complexion. Vellus hair on the face is effectively removed, resulting in a smoother makeup application and a more polished look. After dermaplaning, skincare products like serums and moisturizers can penetrate the skin more deeply and work more effectively. Dermaplaning is a non-invasive procedure with minimal to no downtime, making it suitable for most skin types and allowing individuals to resume their regular activities immediately. It can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, improve skin texture, and even out skin tone. During the oxygen infusion, the skincare professional  incorporates a gentle facial massage to enhance circulation and relaxation. When performed by a trained and licensed skincare professional, dermaplaning is considered safe and precise.

Dermaplaning facials are often chosen by individuals looking for a gentle but effective exfoliation method to enhance their skin's appearance and improve the absorption of skincare products. The results of dermaplaning are temporary, and regular treatments may be recommended to maintain the benefits. It is essential to consult with one of our qualified skincare specialists to determine if dermaplaning is suitable for your skin type and specific concerns.
